The curved frame design keeps the SSE aerodynamic by allowing wind to blow over easily while reducing noise and helping rain and snow runoff. It Sleeps 2-3 people and includes an easy-to-use telescopic ladder and plush diamond quilted mattress.

MATERIALS AND FEATURES:

• Tent Fly:  Made from a 420D ripstop Polyester with a Blackout PU coating for longer sleep in's with a darker interior and reduced heat. Water Proof rated to 3000mm, this Fly will keep you dry in any weather! 

• Tent Body: 280g ripstop polycotton body is heavy-duty but also lightweight; the darker colour also helps to reduce internal light. Waterproof rated to 20,000mm, you'll stay dry no matter what. 

• Travel Cover:  Heavy-duty 1000D PVC with a 20,000mm waterproof rating built to handle New Zealand's diverse weather and toughest trails.

• Telescopic Ladder: Adjustable 2.3m aluminium ladder which can be adjusted to suit most vehicle heights.

• Heavy-duty Frame: 22mm/25mm poles for more stability and durability on the trails. Our Aluminium Honeycomb base provides extra strength, giving the tent a 350kg weight limit and lightweight.

• Mattress: 6.5cm high-density sponge mattress with a diamond quilted cover for ultimate comfort so you'll have a great night's sleep no matter how hard the trail is.

• Seam Sealing and Double Stitching: Double stitching on all major joins and high-use areas for extra strength and heated sealing on every seam inside the tent keeps all the weather out and you nice and dry!

• Under Floor Storage: Underfloor storage for all your bits and bobs that you want to keep off the ground, an easy-to-reach spring pole bag makes setup a breeze

• Storm Proof Windows: Our unique designed windows provide extra protection against the elements and limit wind noise on those stormy nights; our rear fly gussets allow you to open the rear door in most weather for extra airflow and more views. They stop the sideways rain from coming inside. 

• Extended Porch: provides extra protection and cover for your ladder and allows for extra airflow on those warm days by allowing you to leave the main door open

EASY BREEZY SETUP:

The Tuatara Soft Shell Extend can be pitched in as little as 4 minutes! The internal compression Straps make removing the travel a breeze by compressing the tent and giving the cover more room to move; once the cover is removed, it can be rolled away under the tent so you can still get full access to your vehicle.

The hardest part of the setup is working out which way you would like the tent to fold out! This tent can be orientated to go off your vehicle's back, front or side.

MOUNTING REQUIREMENTS:

To mount your Rooftop Tent to your vehicle, you need a pair of roof racks or a roof platform which are rated to a dynamic load rating of 75kg. The spacing of these cross bars should be 800mm-1000mm, we recommend using a fix mounted roof rack system to ensure a secure fit and to spread the weight evenly on your vehicle.
